We shall be exploring the ideas of Brian McLaren’s Book The Great Spiritual Migration.
In the book Brian McLaren calls for a reimagining of Christianity, urging a shift from a religion focussed on theoretical beliefs to a faith rooted in love, action, and justice. He envisions three key migrations: moving from dogma-centered religion to a love-centered way of life, rethinking God as the embodiment of love rather than an angry judge, and transitioning from institutional preservation to a focus on social and environmental transformation. McLaren critiques traditional doctrines and advocates for faith communities as "schools of love," fostering inclusion, compassion, and interfaith collaboration to address the urgent challenges of the modern world.
Ideally read the book but regardless do come along for lively discussion.
